SUMMARY:Transforming Shame & Guilt Livestream
DESCRIPTION:“The difference between shame and guilt is the difference of ‘I am bad’ and ‘I did something bad” – Brené Brown. \nAs a Forgiveness Guide\, one of the most common experiences that people show up with is the feeling of being weighted down by shame and guilt. \nOften there is confusion as to which is which\, and how to move forwards. \nIn this Livestream\, on Wednesday 2nd of June at 7p.m (BST)\, we will be exploring what shame and guilt are\, what gives rise to them\, their similarities and differences\, their purpose and how they can be transformed and released through the Self-Compassion & Forgiveness process. \nThe talk is given by Helen Tanner Creative Psychotherapist- specialising in Forgiveness. @helentanner.com. \nThis and other free talks can be accessed by joining the FB group: Forgiveness for Women & Men of Heart. www.facebook.com/groups/ForgivenessHeart (please answer the membership questions for access). \nBlessings and Peace 🙏 \nHelen

SUMMARY:Cultivating Inner Peace for Outer Peace
DESCRIPTION:“The wound is the place where the light enters in” – Rumi \nWhen we imagine a peaceful world\, our attention often focuses onto what we can change in the ‘outer world’ to build peace and prevent violence. \nBut as a mighty oak grows from a tiny acorn\, so seeds of peace must be planted within our hearts and minds before being gently nurtured into reality in the outer world. \nSome of the richest ground in which to ‘grow peace’\, are the most tender places within: our hurts\, our pains\, and inner conflicts. This workshop will explore the opportunities waiting for us within our wounds and inner conflicts\, recognising the rich and fertile ground they provide in which to grow the seeds of peace. \nThis experiential workshop\, led by Karin Augustat\, Helen Tanner\, Bianca Neff and Nino Lotishvili\, four Rotary Peace Fellows from Germany\, UK\, Spain\, and Georgia\, will explore and weave together four perspectives on cultivating inner peace\, each with a practical\, personal application: \n1. Approaches of Social Healing: How to overcome trauma\, mistrust and division (includes practical exercises) \n2. Pain: The Problem and Promise of inner pain in our peacebuilding efforts. \n3. Forgiveness: Transforming pain and suffering into Freedom\, Peace and Love through the ancient practice of Self-Compassion and Forgiveness. \n4. Personal Development: by acknowledging our own shadow parts and our inner pain we start embracing and accepting and embracing ourselves as a whole. \nPresenters \nNino Lotishvili\, an intercultural communication specialist\, the founder of Peace Research Centre Tbilisi and Mindful Georgia (Georgia) \nHelen Tanner\, a peacebuilder\, forgiveness guide\, trainer\, and qualified psychotherapist with an extensive portfolio of working in the UK -including seven years as Charity Director- and internationally in countries including Botswana\, Tunisia and war-affected Libya\, Myanmar\, South Sudan\, Kosovo\, and Belfast (UK). \nBianca Neff\, a humanitarian professional\, the founder of Petra Peacebuilders\, an NGO dedicated to providing trauma healing and resilience support for peacebuilders (Spain/USA). \nKarin Augustat\, a social anthropologist and psychologist\, international expert in development cooperation with international organisations in various fields including psycho-social support and peacebuilding (Germany). \nThis skills-based workshop is part of the Global Peace Conference “Weaving a Shared Future Together”. \nSee the program here: https://sites.google.com/rpfaa.org/gpc-2021/program \nYou will receive the links for participation after registering here: https://sites.google.com/rpfaa.org/gpc-2021

SUMMARY:Beyond Rage Workshop
DESCRIPTION:“Rage sits at the crossroads of personal transformation. Those of us seeking spiritual enlightenment will inevitable stumble upon personal rage upon the path” – Ruth King \nRage has two very different faces: On the one hand we feel her power\, strength\, righteousness\, heat\, and fuel for fighting oppression\, but what of her violent\, destructive\, volatile\, vengeful nature? \nAs we individually and collectively seek to transform out-dated ways of living as a human family\, is there a need for rage? \nCan transformation be achieved through Love and peaceful means? \nCan we really create something new and harmonious with an energy that matches the very problem we are trying to transform? \nIn this workshop\, we will be exploring what rage is\, its purpose\, and how we can move ‘beyond rage’ through self-compassion and forgiveness\, and find a deeper\, more rooted strength and passion through an open heart\, and connection to our divine loving nature. \nThe workshop is offered by Helen Tanner Creative Psychotherapist specialising in Forgiveness. \nThis workshop is free\, and is offered as part of World Unity Week 2021. It will take place on Zoom. \nWe look forward to welcoming you at the workshop. \nBlessings and Peace\, Helen

SUMMARY:Searching for Peace: Finding Forgiveness
DESCRIPTION:In these times\, we are being called to show up as the leaders and Peace-makers that we are.\n\nWe are needed now more than ever.\nLet us speak our truth\, step up\, be visible\, and heard.\n\n\nAs we light the fire in our hearts\, let us remember that how we build\, in this dawning age\, is as important as what we build.\n\n\nAs we weave Peace into the fabric of our outer world\, the invitation is to heal\, and experience it in our inner world.\n\n\nWe are called to release blame\, victimhood\, and the temptation to ‘other’ those whom we perceive as the problem.\n\nThe human family\, and living planet\, are desperately calling out for Peace.\n\n\nAnd in the still moments\, on the whisper of the wind\, we may hear a call to follow the path of Forgiveness.\n\n\nIt’s not an easy path\, nor a quick one\, but it is an ancient one\, fiercely powerful\, and available for all of us willing to make the journey.\n\n\nIn this workshop\, as part of World Unity Week\, you are warmly invited to join us\, for an exploration into the ancient practice and pathway of Forgiveness.
